Squeeze casting is a new technology combining casting and forging. It has the advantages of simple casting process, low production cost and complex shape of parts. It also has the characteristics of fine grain, uniform structure, good mechanical properties and high molding accuracy of die forging products. Mainly have the following points:
(1) During the forming process, the liquid metal that has not yet solidified is crystallized and solidified under the action of isostatic pressure from beginning to end; the solidified metal layer is plastically deformed under pressure, and has a heat-deformed structure with fine grains and uniform structure. At the same time, the pressure makes the outer side of the workpiece close to the inner wall of the mold, so that the shape and size of the workpiece are accurate.
(2) Due to the plastic deformation of the first crystallized solidified layer, a part of the energy is consumed, so the isostatic pressure experienced by the molten metal is not a fixed value, but decreases as the solidified layer thickens.
(3) Under the action of pressure in the solid-liquid area, forced shrinkage occurs, which can eliminate defects such as internal shrinkage and porosity of the workpiece and improve the mechanical properties of the workpiece.
(4) Compared with ordinary hot die forging, the fluidity of liquid metal is much greater than that of solid metal, and the performance of filling the mold cavity is better. It is possible to use a pair of molds to form complex parts at one time.
(5) Density and mechanical properties are basically equivalent to die forgings.
The 3003 material is mainly convenient for brazing joints, and the density above 2.8 is solved by Weizhen liquid die forging. There is no air leakage and liquid leakage when the 3003 material is brazed at high density, and the design of the as-cast and mold is very large. The material and CNC processing costs are reduced
7075 and 7A04 materials are off-limits in the foundry industry. At present, there has been no breakthrough in the global aluminum alloy foundry industry.
